Similar to the Rambler Dobson but with a few upgrades. The softer metal spun rim gives this banjo a little warmer tone while maintaining sustain and projection. Another upgrade to this banjo is the Pisgah Hawktail tailpiece. This allows for more downward pressure on the bridge so that there is better clarity on each note.

Good sustain, warm projecting tone.  Less sustain w/o dobson tone ring.  Sound file is with Brass spun rim, Dobson tone ring, and Remo Renaissance head.
